Working Group under the Greater Mekong Subregion Economic Cooperation (GMS) in Manila, Philippines.

Mrs. Pochanie Kajonpredanon, Director of Comprehensive Planning Bureau, was appointed as Thailand’s head of delegation to attend the 2nd Urban Development Working Group under the Greater Mekong Subregion Economic Cooperation (GMS). Also joined by representatives from the Office of the National Economic and Social Development Board (NESDB), the meeting took place on the 4th-5th July 2018 in Manila, Philippines. The Department of Public Works and Town & Country Planning is one of the main responsible institutions in the Urban Development focus area.
The purpose of the discussion is to reach the conclusion of capability development projects for Border Special Economic Zone (SEZs) and exchanged views on potential GMS Urban Development projects in the future.
